About the Build

Our client’s Carissa and Scott built in Cooranbong, NSW, this Senza Four 27 were looking to achieve a modern yet timeless street presence — a common priority for many client's wanting a home that will age well over time. The Hampshire 24° façade provided a strong architectural base, allowing the exterior colour selections to enhance the design rather than overpower it.

To create a light and cohesive façade that would suit the surrounding streetscape, Carissa and Scott selected Silver Birch bricks from Austral Bricks 'Wilderness Range'. These were paired with a Colorbond® Shale Grey roof, along with matching fascia and gutters, helping to tie the upper and lower elements of the home together. A Dover White Colorbond® garage door was chosen to maintain brightness at the front of the home while keeping the palette neutral and versatile.

Finishing details were carefully considered to add depth and contrast without compromising longevity. Dulux Lexicon Quarter-Strength panelling introduces a subtle layered look, while the Colorbond® Shale Grey render complements the roof colour for a seamless finish. The bold Colorbond® Monument front door creates a focal point at the entry, providing contrast and enhancing street appeal.

From a builder’s perspective, our favourite aspects of this home are the client’s kitchen splashback selection and their confident façade colour choices. Both decisions reflect a clear understanding of balance — introducing personality and interest while still achieving a timeless, cohesive design that will stand the test of time.
